The Adopt a Child/Family for Christmas program is a great opportunity for you and your co-workers
to do something that will really give you the Christmas spirit. Your involvement in this program
will make sure that a family in need from our community will have Christmas.

2004-05 Flu Vaccine Shortage
October 19, 2004
Almost half of the nation's flu vaccine will not be delivered this year. Chiron, a major manufacturer of flu vaccine, will not be distributing any influenza vaccine this flu season. Chiron was to make 46-48 million vaccine doses for the United States. Because of this, Sutter County will not be offering flu clinics this year, and asks that persons seeking vaccination contact their medical care provider.
Due to the vaccine shortage, CDC is changing its guidance about who should get vaccinated this season.
