Statement of Goals
Flood Protection The Board of Supervisors and Yuba City Council are committed to the following goals to improve flood protection for Sutter County residents:
  • We are committed to work with the State and levee districts to strengthen levees;
  • We are committed to pursuing certifications needed to protect our "preferred status" insurance rates;
  • We recognize that flood protection is critical, and are committed to the hard work with many partners;
  • While the State is primarily responsible, we know we must fight for levee funding and that local residents will likely have to share costs; and
  • We will pursue these goals in an open and inclusive process.
