Improvement (Design) Standards Revision – Proposed
The following documents represent changes proposed in the Sutter County Improvement (Design) Standards.

Proposed Revision 11-10 to the Sutter County Improvement (Design) Standards for drainage, water supply, and sewer systems revising sections 5, 6 and 7, and selected drawings in the current standards as follows:
  • Replace Section 5: Storm Drainage Design with Chapter 9: Storm Drainage;
  • Replace Section 6: Domestic Water Supply Systems with Chapter 8: Water Supply System;
  • Replace Section 7: Sanitary Sewer Design with Chapter 7: Sanitary Sewer System; and
  • Replace Drawings S-1 to S-7, S-9, & W-1 to W-8.
The proposed improvement standards are largely based on the Sacramento County and City of Sacramento standards. The storm drainage improvement standards were revised as they lacked criteria for larger development projects. Changes include updating channel design criteria and incorporating new criteria for the design of detention basins and pumping stations. The water supply system improvements standards were revised to address larger water systems. The sanitary sewer system improvements standards were revised to address larger wastewater systems including sewer systems with a capacity up to an Average Dry Weather Flow (ADWF) of 15 million gallons per day (MGD).
