The County Clerk's duties include responsibility for
recording documents affecting title of real property located in Sutter County,
conducting all elections, maintaining voter registration files, issuing of
marriage licenses, processing passport applications, filing fictitious business
name statements, filing notary oaths, registering process servers
and professional photocopiers, performing wedding ceremonies, and other related
work. The County Clerk also serves as Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.
Mission Statement
The County Clerk-Recorder-Registrar of Voter's Office is
dedicated to providing correct and timely information with
courtesy and respect for our customers.
To further our mission, the employees of the Clerk-Recorder-Registrar
of Voter's Office are committed to the following:

Create, process, maintain, and/or update records and documents in a timely and accurate manner to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Provide easy access to all public records and documents to enhance customer service.

Ensure the integrity of the Sutter County election process and encourage the participation of all eligible voters in a cost-effective manner.
Office Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Marriage License, Fictitious Business Name Statements, and Passport applications
are processed between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You may search and order Sutter County's Official Records online.
Once you've located a document to order, add it to your online shopping cart, go to checkout,
and print the Clerk - Recorder Document Order Form generated by our online system. This form can then be mailed
to the Clerk - Recorder for processing.

Clerk - Recorder Fee Schedule
The Fee Schedule details the cost of Birth Certificates, Death Certificates and other
such items / services normally provided by the Clerk Recorder's Office.
